CA Foundation pass or commerce graduates having not less than 50% marks or non- commerce graduates having not less than 60% marks.

Final :

CA Intermediate pass and registered as an articled trainee under a practising Chartered Accountant by signing an Articleship Deed..

  • Examinations are held twice a year (June & December). However, a student is required to complete the prescribed period from the date of registration to appear in the examination.
  • A student is declared passed if he / she secures a minimum of 50% in aggregate and 40% in each subject in each level.

After the completion of Intermediate (CAP-II) level, students are required to join articleship training for 3 years under a practicing Chartered Accountant member. But the students admitted to CAP-II Level from Bachelor Degree may join Articleship Training after passing group 1st of CAP-II Level. Students will get some prescribed amount of stipend during the training period..
Information Technology Practical Training is designed for 100 hours. Students can register and take training in two sessions. They are required to complete 55 hours training before appearing in the final examination of CAP II and the rest 45 hours before joining CAP III level. Or, they can take 100 hours training at the same timing before the CAP II examination. Students are required to pay the prescribed amount by the ICAN to register for the IT practical training..

A student who is registered for both groups of Integrated Professional Competence Course and has passed Group I of IPCC/ATC can join 3 (three) years of articleship training under a Practicing Chartered accountant. Students will get some prescribed amount of stipend during the training period..
Information Technology Training programme is designed for 100 hours to be completed before or after IPCC examination but before joining articleship training. This training is linked to the theoretical knowledge imparted through the subject Information Technology (50 marks). A student is required to pay the prescribed amount by the ICAI to register for ITT..

Chartered Accountancy profession is valued trustees of world- class financial competencies, good governance and competitiveness. Over the years, the CA profession has registered rapid growth and has come to occupy a prominent role in our economy and society. Increasing responsibilities are being placed by the government and the society on Chartered Accountants (CAs) and their specialized knowledge and skills are being utilized in various fields of activities. Accordingly, the demand for CAs is growing higher, but there are around 800 CAs in Nepal, which is far below the national requirement.

 

Challenges:

Chartered Accountancy is a challenging career that imparts the best of technical skills in financial and management areas. The number of students has been increased day by day in Chartered Accountancy course. No hard competition and labour is required to enter into the Chartered Accountancy course. But, hard labour, dedication and sincerity are the most essential factors to be in a student to qualify as CA.
